Se trata de un gran mercante español que habitualmente navegaba entre las Islas Canarias transportando todo tipo de mercancías. En 1972, se produjo un incendio en la sala de máquinas y, tras la evacuación de toda la tripulación, se hundió. Hoy yace escorado sobre su costado de estribor a una profundidad de 35m sobre un fondo arenoso.
